Overview: Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) is a cerebrovascular condition which may cause a clot formation into the brain sinuses . CTV is a serious illness that affects all age groups including children . It can cause death in up to 30% from the reported cases . The main symptom of this type of stroke is headaches and stroke symptoms.

It is a medical term to describe the condition occurring as a result of the poor blood flow to a part of the brain resulting in cell death. It is the result of blockage or rupture of blood vessels or hemorrhage in the brain. Most of records failed to identify a clear cause in 25-39% of patients.
The Saudi Stroke Society is proud to launch the newly redesigned website on the World Stroke Awareness Day. The aim of our new site is focused on accessibility and simplifying our content, and increasing the visibility of the association's activities. This will help us to raise awareness of the prevention and treatment of the condition and ensure better care and support for survivors. On another hand, it will serve as a source for healthcare professionals continuous education activities.
